Grouping multiple users and API keys into a team can make it easy to apply and edit permissions in bulk. Follow the instructions below to create a new team.
-
Click your username in the upper-right corner of the portal, and navigate to Settings > Users & teams.
-
Click the Teams tab.
-
Click Add team.
-
Enter a name for the team. Tip: Use a descriptive name that makes it easy to differentiate between teams.
-
Optionally, click the text field under Add user to team and begin typing the name of a user or API key you want to associate with the team. Note that you can adjust this later or edit individual user/key settings to associate them with a team.
-
Adjust the account permissions for the team, as desired. All users and API keys associated with this team will inherit these permissions.
-
Under Resource Permissions, indicate whether or not the users in this team should be able to manage or view DNS zones associated with your account.
-
If the Allow by default option is enabled, the team members will have access to all zones except those specified under Denied zones.
-
If the Allow by default option is disabled, the team members will have access to all zones except those specified under Allowed zones.
-
-
Optionally, under Manage IP allow list for this team, you can create an IP allow list specifically for this team to indicate specific IP addresses or CIDR ranges from which team members can access your domains. For each list, you can specify one or more IP addresses or CIDR ranges by pressing return or tab after each entry.
-
Once complete, click Save team.
