This article contains instructions for new NS1 customers who want to create a free Developer account or create a new user associated with their Enterprise account. Refer to the relevant instructions below for creating a new user account via the NS1 portal.
A valid credit card is required to sign up for this plan. We ask for a credit card to secure the service and prevent fraudulent signups.
To register for a Developer account:

Go to https://ns1.com/signup.

Complete the requested form fields, agree to the NS1 Terms of Service, and opt-in to product-related communications from the NS1 team.

Click Continue.

On the next page, specify a username and password, then enter your billing information and select a plan.
NOTE
By default, passwords must contain at least eight characters, with a limit of 32 characters. However, account admins can contact support@ns1.com to request enhanced password strength requirements for all users in the organization, including:
- Minimum length of 12 characters
- No leading or trailing spaces (spaces between characters are permitted; 8 maximum)
- At least 1 uppercase character
- At least 1 numerical character
- At least 1 special character (for example: !, #, @, $)
The Starter version of the Developer Edition is free of charge within the usage limits. Your credit card will be charged a small temporary pre-authorization charge. Besides this pre-authorization you will not be charged unless your account experiences an overage in queries or other services.
A small verification charge ($2.00) may be incurred to confirm credit card authorization, which will be credited back. We will not charge you unless your usage exceeds the NS1 Free Tier Limits.
